​Coach Brax is the founder and head trainer/coach! Starting this program in 2016 and witnessing multiple kids' lives being changed for the better is what drives Coach Brax to continue to grow the program! With 3 years of College basketball experience as a starting Point Guard, and 1 year of Semi Professional basketball he has gained knowledge of the game from different perspectives! Coach Brax started his coaching career as an assistant coach for Gulliver Prep, moved on to head JV coach at Miami Christian High School, and is now the Head Basketball Coach at an independent JUCO, Miami Sports Academy. He has also worked various basketball camps across the country and also an on court trainer for an NBA combine. Along with coaching, Brax has also done individual player development for top High School, College, and professional athletes across the world!

Coach John, owner of Ground Up Athletics, moved to Miami from Cameroon, Africa in 2017 to pursue his College
Basketball Career after having a successful High School basketball experience. He played 2 years at Florida National University before injuries. Since then he has
specialized in strength, conditioning, and injury prevention for us! Coach John has been with M.I.A. Hoops for 4 years now and continues to keep all of our athletes prepared physically to play basketball for as long as they want! Blessed to have Coach John a part of the M.I.A. family!

Coach Moni moved to Miami from Maryland with College Basketball playing experience and Semi Professional playing experience. Since, he has built 4 years of coaching experience at the High School level. Currently a Varsity assistant coach in Miami. Specializing in player development and in game situations, Coach Moni helps the program in multiple ways! "We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then is not an act but a habit."

Coach Booker is the owner of B.E.S.A. (Booker Elite Shooting Adademy) and specializes in shooting form and consistency. Played college ball for Flagler College, Northwood University, and finished at John Carrol University. He was Head of Player Development for “US Basketball Academy” in Chongqing, China for 2 years. Coach Booker has worked multiple camps across the country sharing his knowledge of the game with kids of all ages. Fortunate to have Coach Booker with M.I.A. Hoops for his 2nd year now!
